A weekly overlay of US money supply, debt, and equity-market growth — research context, not a trading signal.
What this is. Four macro series indexed to 100 at the start of the visible window, so you can compare growth
rates on one chart regardless of their real units.
- M1 / M2 — weekly US money stock (Fed H.6, not seasonally adjusted).
- Total federal debt — quarterly print, held flat week to week until the next release (a staircase, not smoothed).
- Consumer debt — monthly total consumer credit outstanding, same step treatment.
- Equity market — the S&P 500 as a proxy for total US equity market size (FRED's free total-market index was discontinued; the S&P tracks ~80% of US market cap and moves with it).
Data: FRED (WM1NS, WM2NS, GFDEBTN, TOTALSL, SP500), fetched live.
